    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    Develop and generate sales (and rentals) of load banks with the assigned primary market segment being the North American Caterpillar Dealers.  The Load Bank Territory Sales Manager (LBTSM) will be expected to maintain regular contact with each Dealer's Rental, Engineering/Sales, and Service Departments via a combination of personal visits (requiring a minimum of 1 week of travel per month) as well as consistent and regular follow-up via email and telephone.  The Territory Sales Manager will be expected to maintain good relations with Crestchic, place detailed equipment orders on behalf of Hawthorne, and communicate regularly regarding larger sales efforts like a revision of the HPS Load Banks website and/or attending or exhibiting at PowerGen International. The LBTSM will also be required to maintain good relations and communication with Crestchic's US entity, "Crestchic USA", located in Pennsylvania. Booking load bank rentals with the Cat Network will be a top priority, only second to selling New or Used load banks.  Commission will be paid on Rental Projects to the LBTSM, however, the support needed to gather details, equipment, PO's, and compete the rental project successfully will be provided by HPS's Load Bank Rental Project Manager, although in full coordination and under the direction of the LBTSM.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Make sales calls, either in person, by email, or by phone on all of the North American Caterpillar Dealers. Emailing and phone sales should be based more on "follow-up" and not take the place of an initial call to that Caterpillar Dealer's Rental, Engineering/Sales, or Service Department.
    2. Maintain current customer base as well as continually developing new customers.
    3. Assist customers with all needs and maintain excellent customer relations.
    4. Assist customers with equipment selection for specific jobs.
    5. Provide detailed quotes in regards to load bank sales.
    6. Complete bid proposals for rentals, or do so in combination with the Load Bank Rental Project Manager.
    7. Handle booth planning, set-up, and then attend various conferences that have the potential to find new rental and sales customers. For the Caterpillar Rental Meeting and for PowerGen, the LBTSM will also preplan events that Caterpillar or Caterpillar Dealer Personal can attend. 
    8. Assist Rental Manager with projects should that be required.
    9. The LBTSM must consistently plan and keep notes on their sales calls and contacts, as well as scheduling the follow up visit/email/ or phone call after they compete a Sales call.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    1. Rental Generator or Load Bank experience.
    2. Excellent communication and organization skills.
    3. People oriented with strong sales and customer service experience.
    4. Must be a self-starter, personable and attentive to customer’s needs.
    5. High energy level and motivation to succeed.
    6. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    1. Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain.

    7. Climbing: In and out of equipment.
    8. Vision: Read rental documents, invoices and bills.
    9. Talking: Communications by radio, phone, and in person.
    10. Sitting: Sits in equipment and in vehicles, as well as prolonged sitting during travel.

     

    ENVIRONMENTAL:     

    1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
    2. Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment outside with variations of temperature and weather.
    3. Exposure: Foul odors, fumes and harsh substances.
