Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Marketing Lead Generation Specialist supports the engagement and activation of prospective customers.  The specialist will proactively work with the sales and marketing team to generate and qualify new leads.  The goal of this position is to qualify leads throughout the Hawthorne territory by engaging new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Define, implement, and maintain a corporate wide process to collect, qualify, and distribute all inbound leads from various campaigns and channels in order to convert to sales ready opportunities.
  2. Demonstrate effective understanding of targeted audiences including industry knowledge, key business issues and industry trends along with an understanding of Hawthorne’s product and service offerings.
  3. Nurture valuable relationships with customers to increase sales, by capitalizing on all opportunities and maximizing coverage.
  4. Work closely with Sales and Marketing to build and maintain an effective pipeline of leads in order to support revenue goals.
  5. Provides CRM application training and support for all internal users.
  6. Provide lead status updates to applicable parties including sales management, partners, suppliers, vendors etc.
  7. Communicate and follow up with marketing assigned accounts regarding current campaigns and special offers with special attention to BCP conquest campaigns.
  8. Manage CRM system for customer and sales lead updates.
  9. Create and update dashboards for reporting of data.
  10. Other marketing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 

  1. Education – Bachelors degree or a minimum of 4 years equivelant experience.
  2. Customer Oriented – Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
  3. Communication – Effective oral and written communication skills with respect to grammar and vocabulary. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and general public.
  4. Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  5. Organized – Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
  6. Problem Solving – Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems.
  7. Mathematical Skills – Calculate figures, discounts, interest and percentages, use of basic algebra.
  8. Computer Literate – Experience with MS Office applications.
  9. Analytical skills – Review, analyze and interpret data, business periodicals, technical procedures and governmental regulations with a strong attention to detail.
  10. Familiar with Project Management tools.
  11. Travel – Some travel required, must have a valid driver license.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  1. Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs and occasionally over uneven terrain.
  2. Handling: Seizes, helps or works with hands.
  3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous paperwork, some potential for lifting up to 50lbs.
  4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  6. Standing: Remains in standing position, if required to perform various functions of the job.
  7. Vision: Reads paperwork, records on the computer.
  8. Talking: Communications by phone and in person.
  9. Sitting: Sits at desk. Sits for long periods of time.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL:     

  1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment.
