The Service Coordinator ensures the overall efficiency, profitability and reputation of our service shops by providing timely, accurate, and customer-approved estimates for repair work. He or she documents estimates and the necessary  repair work according to established industry standards and CAT regulations. He or She will have a working knowledge of the engine repair/maintenance industry, an aptitude and interest in engine repair, strong administrative, organizational and computer skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.


  1. Update all completion dates and promise dates in the system
  2. Enter all additional work necessary as well as note & communicate any delays in customer’s equipment
  3. Create a history of estimates.
  4. Estimate all additional work sold through field service.
  5. Prepares all repair reports and estimates in an accurate and timely manner.
  6. Assist with logistics of shipping tooling/parts etc to out of town jobs.
  7. Will conduct any other duty deemed necessary by the General Service Manager



  1. Must have two (2) year’s general office experience.
  2. Must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
  3. Must have two (2) years experience as a service writer/service coordinator.
  4. Strong PC skills are required.
  5. Must have a valid California Class C Driver’s License.
  6. Must have above average communication skills.
  7. Strong work ethic, flexibility and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.


TESTING REQUIREMENTS:  Applicants may be required to pass a written and/or oral examination before being considered for employment in this position.



  1. Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs.
  2. Handling:    Seizes, helps or works with hands.
  3. Lifting:        Raises or lowers items up to 60lbs.
  4. Reaching:  Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  5. Stooping:    Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  6. Standing:    Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
  7. Vision:        Read paperwork and records on a computer.
  8. Talking:       Communications by phone and in person.
  9. Sitting:        Sits for extended periods of time.



  1. Noise:  Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temp/Weather:  Works in a service shop environment.
